To see a Sam Maloof rocking chair in person is awe-inspiring. The first time I came close enough to touch a Maloof rocking chair was at SOFA Chicago, and I stood captivated for almost an hour. The effect that piece had on me is the same effect I hope for whenever I design a piece of furniture. While I can never be Sam Maloof, there's always a shade of him in my woodworking.

The low-back chair was one of Sam's less frequently showcased chairs, but definitely no less beautiful and distinctive. This is my homage to Sam.
